Washington elopements, photographed and filmed
We’re a PNW photo and video duo traveling globally for weddings & elopements, but Washington State is our home base. We know it in every season, rain included, and we’ll help you pick a spot that fits your vision and dream!
A day with us usually means an early start or a golden-hour finish, a hike if you want one, vows wherever feels right, and plenty of unhurried time in between.
Why both photo and video? Photos hold the moments. Film keeps your vows in your own voices, plus the sound of the place. Since the two of us work together, there’s no second vendor to coordinate and no crowd on your day.
Where you can elope in Washington
Mount Rainier National Park
Wildflower meadows at Paradise and Sunrise in July and August, with glacier views most of the year. Ceremonies need a park special use permit, and we help you apply.
Olympic National Park
Alpine meadows at Hurricane Ridge, sea stacks at Rialto and Ruby Beach, and the mossy Hoh Rainforest. Mountains, rainforest and coast in one park.
North Cascades
Jagged peaks, turquoise lakes like Diablo, and alpine lakes at Artist Point below Mount Baker. Best from July through September, when the high roads are open.
Puget Sound ferry elopements
Say your vows on a Washington State Ferry with the Seattle skyline behind you, or ride out to the San Juan Islands for rocky shorelines and sunset over the water. No hike required.

What our couples say
“Sans was amazing right from the start, helping to brainstorm locations, timing suggestions and being up for really anything we wanted to do! The actual day of the wedding Sans was great, helped us look natural and really captured the beauty of the area.”
“She made us feel so comfortable, despite feeling camera shy. She captured the vision I had — whimsical, documentary-style pictures that captured our relationship — so perfectly & we are beyond happy with the results.”
“Weather was definitely not [on] our side. But they acknowledged it was going to be difficult and we were going to make the best out of it. Their positivity and reassurance was exactly what we (I) needed.”
Washington elopement FAQs
What happens if it rains on our elopement day?
It’s Washington, so we plan for it. We’ll have a backup spot in mind, and some of our favorite images happen in the mist. If conditions turn unsafe, we’ll shift the time or date together.
How far ahead should we book?
Summer dates at Rainier and the North Cascades go first, so 6–12 months ahead is ideal. Weekday and shoulder-season dates are easier on shorter notice, so ask anyway.
Do you help us plan, or just show up and shoot?
We help plan: location, timing, permits, what to pack, and a timeline built around the light. We’re with you from the first message to the last photo.
Do we need a permit to elope at Mount Rainier or Olympic?
Yes. National parks require a special use permit for a ceremony, and each park has its own rules on group size and decorations. We’ll point you to the right application and help you pick a site that works.
How does a Washington marriage license work?
You apply through a Washington county, then wait three days before you can use the license. You’ll need an officiant and two witnesses at the ceremony. We’re happy to sign as your witnesses.
What’s the typical investment for a Washington elopement photographer and videographer?
Our photo + video packages start at $2,250 for 3 hours of coverage, a 5–8 minute highlight film and 200 edited photos. You’ll get our full pricing guide when you inquire.
